1. 용의자 - suspect; (범죄의) a criminal suspect. Ex. 경찰은 그를 그 사건의 유력한 용의자로 체포했다: The police arrested him as a key suspect of the affair.
2. 우편 번호제 - postal number system; zip code system.
3. 우표위조 - postal stamp forgery; postal stamp counterfeiting. Ex. 17명으로 구성된 우표위조단이 토요일 일요일 양일에 걸쳐 시경에 일망타진되었다: A 17-member postage stamp counterfeiting group was rounded up Saturday and Sunday by the metropolitan police.
4. 원내 안정세력 - a stable force in the legisrature. Ex. 원내 안정세력을 유지하다: retain a stable force in the legisrature.
5. 원양어업 - deep sea fishery; off-shore fishery. cf. 연안어업 coastal fishery. Ex. 정부는 일본의 기항 금지 조처에도 불구하고 북태평양에서의 원양어업을 계속할 것이라고 말했다: The Government said Korea will continue deep sea fishing operations in North Pacific waters even if Japan restricts calls at Japanese port by our fishing boats.
6. 원자력 발전소: an atomic power plant. Ex. 한국 최초의 원자력 발전소: the construction of Korea's first atomic power plant.
7. 월동계획 - a winterization plan; a winter plan. [월동대책] measures for winterization. [월동준비]는  preparation for winterization. Ex. 정부는 올 겨울에 일상필수품을 공급할 6개월 동안의 월동계획을 승인했다: The government approved a six-month period winterization plan for this year's supply of daily necessities during the coming winter.
8. 월부제도 - the (monthly) installment(payment) system; the hire-purchase system; the installment payment. Ex. 월부로 1백 만원씩 지불하다; pay (for a thing) by monthly installment system of 1 million won.
9. 위로 휴가 - a special holiday in appreciation of a person's service. Ex. 연대장은 그의 월남전에서의 훌륭한 전투업적을 인정하여 3일간의 위로휴가를 주었다; The Regiment commander gave him a three days' speical holiday in recognition of his meritorious service in Vietnamese War.
10. 위생검사 -  sanitation check. Ex. 엄중한 위생검사를 받다; be subject to severe sanitation checks.
11. 위수령(衛戍令) - the garrison act(decree). Ex. 정부는 서울에 위수령을 발동하여 질서와 공공안녕을 위해 제 6사단 병력을 서울에 투입했다: The government brought troops from the Sixth-Infantry Division to Seoul for manintenance of order and public security by invoking the garrison act in the nation's capital.
12. 위자료 - consolation money. Ex. 그녀는 현재의 남편과의 이혼소송을 제기하고 위자료로서 3천 만원을 청구했다: She filed suit for divorce from her present husband, claiming 30 million won as consolation money.
13. 위장이민 - false emigrant. Ex. 경찰은 어제 여권을 위조하여 미국으로 위장이민을 가려고 한 혐의로 두 사람을 구속했다고 발펴했다: The Police announced yesterday the arrest of two people suspected of false emigrants to the U.S. by use of forged visas.
14. 위증 - false testimony(evidence); perjury. Ex. 서울지검은 여의사 김씨를 위증혐의로 구속했다: The Seoul District Prosecutor's Office put Mrs. Kim, a woman physician, into custody on charges of perjury.
15. 유권자 - eligible voter; elector; grass roots(실제 유권자). Ex. 중앙선거관리위원회는 국민투표 유권자 총수가 전체 인구의 50.4 퍼센트인 16,788,839명의로 확정되었다고 발표했다: The Central Election Management Committee announced that the total number of eligible voters for the national referendum as 16,788,839, which is 50.4 percent of the whold population.

17. 유급휴가 - a paid vacation. [유급휴가제도] a paid-leave system. Ex. 대부분의 기업체들은 여름이면 3일 내지 8일 간의 유급휴가를 제공한다: Most business firms provide their employes with a paid leave vacation between three and eight days in summer.
18. 유령회사 -  a bogus company(concern; organization). (영) long firm.

20. 유세 - a canvassing(an electineering) tour; stumping. Ex. S 당 대통령 후보 Y 씨는 전국유세에 나섰다: Mr. Y, presidential nominee of the S party, went on the stump throughout the nation.
