1. 동인잡지 - a literary magazine; a magazine of an association. [동인(同人)]은 [뜻을 같이 하는 동지들]을 말하며 "a coterie, a fraternity a club"라고 말할 수 있다.
2. 동족상잔의 비극 -  tragedy of fratricidal war(feud, struggle). Ex. 우리는 동족상잔의 비극을 다시 되풀이하지 않기 위해 남북대화를 중단하지 않겠다: We will not discontinue the south-north dialogue in order not to repeat the tragedy of another fratricidal war.
3. 동정파업 - sympathy strike. Ex. ~에 대한 동정파업을 들어가다: stage a strike in sympathy with ~.
4. 두뇌유출 - brain drain. Ex. 한국학생들의 두뇌유출은 심각한 상황이다: In Korea the "brain drain" of students to foreign countries is of serious proportions.
5. 두더쥐 작전 - mole tactics. Ex. 보수주의자들이 정부에 대한 기습공격에 이용하는 두더쥐 작전: the mole tactics employed by the conservatives for a surprise attack on the government.
6. 드래프트 시스템 - draft system. Ex. 서울지방법원은 제일은행 여자 농구팀이 낸 드래프트 시스템 효력 정지 처분 신청을 받아들였다: The Seoul District Court accepted a petition filed by the First City Bank women's basketball team to suspend the legal effect of the draft system.
7. 등거리 외교정책 - equal-distance diplomacy(foreign policy). Ex. 일본정부의 남북한에 대한 등거리 외교정책: The Japanese government's equal-distance foreign policy toward south and north Korea.
8. 등록금 융자제도 - regisration fee loan system. Ex. 서울의 주요 대학 신입생들의 5페센트 내지 32 퍼센트가 금년부터 시행된 등록금 융자제도의 혜택을 받았다: Five to 23 percent of freshman students at major universities in Seoul have benefited from the regisration fee loan system which was put into effect this year.
