물가가 오르지 못하도록 억제하는 것이 경제성장과의 관계로 해서 매우 어려운 일리라고 한다면, 적어도 물가상승 때문에 일반대중이 느끼게 되는 생활에 대한 불안감을 될 수 있는 한 빨리 제거시켜 주는 일이 정부가 해야 할 급선무일 것이다.

 

<표현 연구>

<구문 연구>

1. 첫 문장은 [물가가 ... 한다면, ... 제거시켜 주어야 한다]로 우선 끊어보고 이것이 정부의 급선무일 것이다]로 끝을 맺어본다. If a rise in ... can not be readily checked ... , a sense of uneasiness of ... should be removed ... Isn't this the urgent business of ....?
2. [물가를 억제하는 일이 ... 결코 쉬운 일이 아니지만 적어도 ... 시켜주는 것이 정부가 해야 할 다급한 일이다] 식으로 고쳐서 옮길 경우, It may not be ... , but it is of urgent necessity for ... at least to drive away ... 처럼 It may .... , but ~ 의 구문을 이용해 볼 수 있다.

(1) If a rise in commodity prices can not be readily checked in relation to the economic growth, the sense of uneasiness felt by the general public because of such inflation should be dealt with as early as possible. Isn't this the urgent business of the government?

(2) It may not be an easy matter to curb the advance in prices in connection with economic growth, but then it is of urgent necessity for our government at least to meet us as quickly as possible the problem of a general feeling of unrest caused by such inlfation.
