1. 차관단 - consortium. 국제차관  an international consortium. Ex. 미국, 독일, 영국의 3개 제철회사는 한국에 파견할 국제차관을 구성하기로 결정했다: The three steel companies from the U.S.A, Germany and England decided to form an international consortium to be sent to Korea.
2. 차관사업체 - a firm using foreign loans; a firm(=company) constructing factories with foreign loans.
3. 차별관세 - discriminating duties; differential duties. Ex. 차별관세는 일종의 보복관세이다: Differential (discriminating) duties belong to retaliatory duties.
4. 찬조금 - (기부금과 같은 뜻) contribution. Ex. 아세아 재단은 신문윤리위원회의 활동을 위해 32만원의 찬조금을 내기로 결정했다: The Asia Foundation decided to make a contribution of 320 thousand won to the Newspaper Ethics Committee for its operation.
5. 처우개선 - better treatment. [처우를 개선하다] better(improve) treatment. Ex. 문교부는 교사들의 처우개선책으로 직책수당을 지급하겠다고 발표했다: The Ministry of Education announced that it will pay "allowance for job class" in order to better the treatment of teachers.
6. 청년회의소 - the Junior Chamber. cf. 서울에 청년회의소가 있고 각 지방에 local chapter가 있다.
7. 청부전쟁, 대리전(쟁) - a proxy war. Ex. 그는 정부가 공산침략을 저지한다는 구실하에 월남에서 청부전쟁을 하고 있다고 비난했다: He assailed the government for fighting "a proxy war" in Vietnam under the disguise of deterring Communist aggression.
8. 청룡상 - the Chungryong(Blue Dragon) Film Awards. Ex. 청룡상 수상식에서 최우수작품상을 수여하다: win the best (dramatic) film award of the Blue Dragon Film Awards in a ceremony (held at Citizen Hall).
9. 청약순위 - subscription order. Ex. 새로운 긴급전화제도는 서울의 경우 청약자들이 11,200 원만 추가로 내면 청약순위에 관계없이 우선적으로 전화가입을 받아주게 된다: The new urgent telephone system will be given to phone subscribers regardless of subscription ordres if they additionally pay 11,200 won in Seoul.
10. 체력검정 - an examination of physical strength. Ex. 체력향상 3개년 계획의 일부로서 전장병에게 체력검정이 실시된다: An examination of physical strength will be carried out as a part of a three-year physical improvement plan.
11. 체력장제도 - physical strength(fitness) measurement system; a physical charter system. Ex. 고등학교 입학시험에 적용될 체력장제도: the physical strength measurement system to be applied to high school entrance examination.
12. 체불임금 - overdue wage; wage unpaid. Ex. 체불임금의 완전한 청산: complete clearance of overdue wages.
13. 체육회 - the Amateur Athletic Association. cf. [대한체육회] the Korean Amateur Athletic Association(KAAA).
14. 총사직 - resignation en masse(=en bloc), general resignation. Ex. K 내각은 총사직하기로 결정했다: Premier K's cabnet decided to resign en masse.
15. 총수요억제정책 - an aggregate demand control policy. Ex. 한국은 해외경제에 너무 크게 의존하고 있기 때문에 한국과 같은 개발도상국가에 있어서는 안정된 고용수준을 유지하고 악화일로에 있는 국제수지사정을 개선하려면 ~은 바람직한 것이 못 된다고 말했다: In a developing country like Korea, the aggregate demand control plicy is not desirable if it is to maintain sustained stable employment and bring about improvement on the worsening foreign payment status, because Korea is too heavily dependent upon overseas economies.
16. 총화정치 - politics of integration. Ex. 총화정치란 말은 경제적, 사회적, 문화적 힘과 같은 국가 세력을 통합하여 거기에 기초를 두고 행해재는 정치를 뜻하는 것이다: The phrase 'politics of integration' means "politics based on the integrated force of national energies such as economic, social and cultural forces."
17. 추가경정예산안 - the supplementary budget bill. Ex. 금년도 제 1회 추가경정예산안 심사: deliberation of this year's first supplementary budget bill.
18. 추곡수매가격 - the buying price of rice. Ex. C 농수산부장관은 추곡수매가격을 30% 올려 줄 것을 경제기획원에 요청했다: Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries has asked for the Economic Planning Board to increase the buying price of rice by 30%.
19. 추석성묘방문 - the visit of families to pay homage to their ancestral graves.
20. 출고 - delievery. Ex. 미국 원조물자가 보세창고에서 출고후 투기 목적으로 6개월 이상 활용되지 않을 경우 수입상사는 엄중한 처벌을 받는다: It the U.S. aid imported commodities are not utilized for more than six months after delievery from the bonded warehouse for speculative purposes, the firm that imported the commodities will be severely punished.
21. 출판기금 - a publication fund. Ex. 정상적인 출판기금의 유지를 도우려는 정부의 결정: the government's determination to help keep a publication fund.
22. 출판윤리위원회 - the Publication Ethics Commission.
23. 치산 - forestry conservation=conservancy, protection); antiflood(=flood control); afforestation. [치수] flood control, [치수공사] flood prevention works. Ex. 농림부는 치산 7개년 계획을 성안했다: The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry worked out a seven-year forestry conservation plan.
24. 치수 - river conservation; flood control. Ex. 옛부터 치수는 정치의 대본이었다: Flood control has been the origin of politics since ancient times.
25. 치정 - an amorous passion; blind love. [치정관계] connection with a love affair; amorous relationship. [치정범죄] a crime of passion. Ex. 28세의 가정주부와 그의 의붓자식은 자기 집에서 교살되었는데 경찰조사자들은 이 살인사건이 치정관계인 듯하다고 말했다: A 28-year-old housewife and her stop-son were found stabbed to death at their home. Police investigators said the murder case seemed to be connected with a love affair.
