우리나라에서 처음 생긴 이 '셀로판' 공장의 제품은 국내수요를 충족시킬 뿐만 아니라 해외에 수출도 하게 된다. 따라서 외화절약은 물론 외화획득도 하게 되어 우리나라의 국제수지에 좋은 효과를 초래할 것이 확실하다.

<구문 연구>

1. 첫 문장은 (a) 원문을 그대로 살려 [~의 제품]을 주격으로 삼아 The products of ... will not only supply ... , but alos be expected ... 로 할 수도 있지만, (b) [~은 충분한 제품을 생산하여 국내수요를 충족시킬 뿐만 아니라 ... 로 하게 될 것이다]로 보아 ... will turn out enough products not only to fill ... but also to export ... 처럼 할 수도 있다.
2. 후반부 문장은 It is certain that ~ 나 We are sure that ~ 로 시작하여 종속절의 주어를 [이 공장](it로 받음)이나 그냥 we 로 한다. [~은 물론 ...도 하게 되어] 부분은 by로 인도하여 [~함으로써 국제수지개선에 기여한다]로 정리하면 간편해진다. 주의할 점은 [~은 물론]의 부분에서 not to speak of ~ 류나 as well as ~ 다음에 [외화절약]을 둔다는 것이다.
