인간관계에 큰 관심이 있는 사람들의 마음 속에 가장 중요한 위치를 차지하는 것은 사랑의 문제이다. 모자간의 사랑과 남여간의 사랑, 또는 이웃간의 사랑이 각각 구별되어 느꺼지게 되는 것이다.

1. 첫 문장은 (a) 주어를 what-clause 로 정리하여 what occupies the most important position in the minds of who ~ 로 옮기고 술부를 is the problem of love 로 받는다. (b) 부정어 nothing 을 문두로 놓고 [~만큼 중요한 것은 없다]로 하면 nothing is so important to those who ~ as the problem of love 처럼 된다.
2. 두 번째 문장은 주어로 It(=Love)를 세우고 [It가 각각 ~와 같은 다른 형태로 그들의 마음속에 느껴지게 된다]로 옮기면 is rocognized(known) in the different froms of love between , between, or between 처럼 정리된다. [각각]의 뜻을 살려 [각각 그 특성에 따라](according to their respective nature)를 문미에 첨가해도 되나 위 문장정도의 문맥에서는 오히려 없는 편이 낫겠다.
