동명사(GERUND)

동명사는 명사의 기능과 동사의 기능을 갖는다. 예컨대, <loving her is difficult>라고 하면 <그녀를 사랑하는 것은 ~)처럼 동사의 성질을 가지고 있으면서 주어로 역할을 한다. 동명사는 구체적인 상황을 표시한다. 동명사 구문은 암기할 사항이 많다.
