① Put into English :-

2. 오늘 아침 시계방에서 팔뚝 시계를 고치러 갔더니, 시계방 사람은, 늦어도 모레 저녁때 까지는 고쳐두겠습니다, 고 말했다. (to have ~ mended)
3. 이번 기차를 놓치면 안 되니, 될 수 있는 한 빨리 서두르라고 아우한테 말했다. (to miss)
4. 아버님 편지에는 금주의 수요일까지는 돌아오실 예정이라고 쓰여 있었습니다.

5. 외국에 다녀온 나의 친지치고, 기회가 있으면 한 번 더 가고 싶다고 말하지 않는 사람은 적다.

9. "당신은 매일 전차로 통학하십니까?"
"아니오, 도보로 합니다. 그러나 비오는 날은 전차로 갑니다."

11. "어째서 산에 오르는가 - 산이 거기 있기 때문이다."가는 문답은 매우 유명한 것이다. 그러나 그 대답은 산이 있는 지리적 위치를 가리키고 있는 것이 아니라, 그것이 엄연히 지상에 존재하고 있다는 뜻으로 나는 해석한다.

"글쎄요, 하늘에서의 조망은 확실히 근사하다고 생각했습니다만 기타의 점에 있어서는 그다지 크게 떠들 것까지는 없었습니다."
