  We hurried back to our hotel to tell my dear Mina the news, but we saw that she knew it already, and her face was white with fear. "He has gone," she said quietly, "and he is taking me with him. Oh my dear friends! Before I change into a vampire, you must kill me! Then you must do what you did to poor Lucy, to give me rest. Tell me that you do this for me!"

  I held her hands, but I could not speak. If that day ever comes, I don't know how I shall live through it.

 

부사절에서는 미래 시제를 쓰지 못하는 거 아시죠! 부사는 힘이 별로 없기 때문에 문법적인 결정권이 없습니다. 그래서 미래를 결정하는 조동사를 거느릴 수 없는 거죠. 흔히 하는 말로는, 시간 등의 부사절에서는 <현재 시제가 미래 시제를 대신한다>라고 하죠. 그런 문장이 두 개나 나왔습니다. 그리고 시간의 부사절이라 암기하지 마시고, 통합적으로 외우세요. <부사절에선 현재가 미래를 대신한다>.

 

이번 지문은 상당히 힘들군요. 고민하는 힘이 실력이란 말, 했죠. 고민 끝에 나온 결론은 설령 그 결론이 틀렸다, 해도 그 과정에서 수많은 연상과 심도있는 노력을 하기 때문에 굉장한 가치가 있는 거랍니다. 여러분의 많은 고민을 기대해봅니다. ㅎㅎㅎ
